SPEAKER's PROFILE

Prof. Dr. Etty Agoes (Professor of International Law) Is a member of the Faculty, Padjadjaran Law School and she is also Director, Indonesian Center for the Law of the Sea and Marine Affairs (ICLOS), Consortium of Legal Science, Ministry of Education and Culture from 1986 till present. Beside that she is also active as Executive Director, then member of the Board of Advisors, Center for Archipelago, Law and Development Studies, the Wawasan Nusantara Foundation, Bandung, Indonesia from 1989 till present and from 1992 till present she works as Adviser to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and member of the Indonesian Delegation for maritime negotiations. She is also active till now as Member, Advisory Body of Experts on the Law of The Sea, UNESCO/IOC, Paris, France and Expert member, UN General Experts Meeting on Marine Scientific Research

Where is Bali?

The island of Bali is part of the Republic of Indonesia and is located 8 to 9 degrees south of the equator between Java in the West and Lombok and the rest of the Lesser Sunda Islands (Sumbawa, Flores, Sumba and Timor) in the East. BALI FLIGHT INFORMATION
Don't look for "Bali" in airline time tables. It's listed as "Denpasar" (DPS) which is the name of the island's capital. However, from Bali's international Ngurah Rai Airport it takes you just 15 to 30 minutes by car to Kuta, Legian, Sanur and Nusa Dua, and in about 50 to 60 minutes you can be in Ubud.
